About ALA membership

The following categories of ALA membership are offered:

  • Full membership - open to health professionals with a substantial interest in lymphology or lymphoedema who is working in a clinical, research or education field
  • Accredited Lymphoedema Practitioner - includes Full membership - for eligible practitioners who wish to demonstrate their dedication, professionalism and expertise to patients, employers, referrers and the community
  • Student membership - students with a substantial interest in lymphology or lymphoedema studying full time at undergraduate or postgraduate level
  • Corporate membership - organisations, companies, institutions and agencies involved in lymphology related activities
  • Friends of the ALA - person or not for profit support or advocacy group interested in furthering the work of the ALA.

Full membership

Offered to all individuals who hold a recognised qualification as a health professional - evidence is required on application.

Cost:   2020, expires 31 December, New and  Renewal - A$160.00 inc GST

ALA Accredited Lymphoedema Practitioner

Offered to individuals who satisfy the entry criteria and ongoing requirements of the Accredited Lymphoedema Practitioner Program - evidence is required on application.

Cost:   2020, expires 31 December, New and  Renewal - A$260.00 inc GST

Student membership

 

Student with a substantial interest in lymphology or lymphoedema undertaking full time study in a health related field. 

Evidence required annually:  Student ID (must state on it that it is full time study, can be undergraduate or postgraduate)

Cost - 2020:   New - $65.00         Renewal - $65.00

Benefits:

  • 3 issues of Lymph Exchange, the publication of the Australasian Lymphology Association
  • Monthly Lymph Express eBulletins with articles on lymphoedema management and related practice issues, as well as state and international lymphoedema news
  • Attendance at  AGM as a nonvoting member
  • Eligible to join ALA committees
  • Discounts for ALA CPD events and products  
  • Access to ALA website member area.

 

Corporate Membership

Organisations, companies, institutions and agencies involved in lymphology related activities are invited to become Corporate Members of the ALA.

Become an ALA Corporate Member

If your business is not already, become a corporate member today and enjoy the benefits of Corporate Membership.  ALA Corporate Membership is for the period 1 January to 31 December.  For 2020, the subscription is $825.00 (including GST)

The benefits of Corporate Membership of the ALA are:

  • Supplier listing on the ALA website; Your name, logo, hyper-linked email address, website and 100 word blurb on the suppliers listing of the ALA website
  • Lymph Exchange listing; Inclusion of your company logo in each edition of the ALA triannual publication ‘Lymph Exchange’

Friends of the ALA

(established as Friends of the ALA society within the ALA constitution)

Person or not for profit support or advocacy group interested in furthering the work of the ALA.


Evidence required:  For groups – name of representative

Cost:   2020, New - $40  Renewal - $40

  • For groups -  logo and link on ALA website 
  • Opportunity to give input into applicable ALA committees

  • Access to selected areas of ALA website member area 
  • Benefit of a network of Friends of the ALA with the ability to have their own committee and activities to further support the work of the ALA.
